Days are getting shorter, nights are getting colder, sometimes the days are kind of chilly too.
And your valuable landscape plants are in danger~
- Harsh drying winds
- Extreme cold
- Hungry deer
- Sudden drops in temperature
- Damaging road salt
Your plants endure a lot of stress during the winter, and could use some protection. How about a winter jacket? That’s the way this new product is being described. It’s called Shrubguard, and it’s brand new this fall.
Just wrap the Shrubguard around your plant and tie. Use the drawstrings at the top and bottom to adjust it around your plant. The open top allows snow to fall through, which will insulate and and hydrate your plant. It also keeps snow from building up on top and damaging or breaking your shrub.
What I really like about this product is it looks nice. Look how these covered shrubs blend into the landscape, so much better than burlap or your old sheets!
Shrubguard works great in any part of the country, protecting northern landscapes from harsh winter winds and southern gardens from sudden or unusual cold spells. It would be great to have on hand when you hear one of those weather forecasts that makes you say “Oh, oh.” Instead of scrounging around to find something to cover your precious landscape, you’ll be ready with your “winter jackets.”
